Portsmouth and Manchester City will both be hoping to register much-needed wins when the two teams clash in the Premier League on Saturday.
Pompey have struggled to get their act together since the shock
departure of manager Harry Redknapp. The Christmas period was also
miserable for the Fratton Park faithful, who saw their team lose 4-2 to
West Ham and then lost 1-0 to Arsenal.
Man City fared marginally well, beating Hull City 5-1 and then
holding Blackburn to a 2-2 draw. For this game, manager Mark Hughes
could hand a debut to Wayne Bridge, while Nedum Onuoha is back after
recovering from a hamstring issue.
Stephen Ireland is banned, while Robinho has a thigh injury and is unlikely to feature in this one.
