Bolton Wanderers manager Gary Megson will be hoping for a positive response from his side when they take on Wigan Athletic in their next Premier League clash on Sunday.
Bolton were flying high on the back of recent good form but were
brought back to earth by a brilliant performance by Liverpool that saw
them emerge comfortable 3-0 winners on Boxing Day. The defeat sees them
slip down to 10th in the table and while Megson will be pleased with
his side’s performances so far this season, he will be hoping to
collect all three points against a side that has been tipped to finish
the season near them in the league table.
Wigan Athletic secured their fourth win in five matches with a
clinical performance at the JJB Stadium with goals from Ryan Taylor and
Amr Zaki putting them two goals ahead in the second half and though
Newcastle pulled one back late in the game, Wigan held on to claim all
three points from the tie.
