Struggling Southampton will be hoping an upset win over Manchester United in the third round of the FA Cup will give a major boost to their beleaguered season thus far.
There are good signs for the Saints as Andrew Surman and Morgan
Schneiderlin are fit to face United after recovering from their
respective injuries, but Adam Lallana and Lee Holmes are doubtful
starters.
For the Red Devils Rio Ferdinand will miss out due to back spasms,
while Carlos Tevez has been allowed to go home to sort out a family
problem.
Last season Southampton were beaten by Bristol City in the fifth
round, while Manchester United lost to Portsmouth in the quarterfinals.
