Blackburn Rovers will be expecting an easy game on Monday when they visit Conference North side Blyth Spartans in the third round of the FA Cup.
Blackburn were eliminated by Championship side Coventry City in the third round last season. Sam Allardyce will be looking to maintain the unbeaten start to his reign as the Blackburn manager and secure a comfortable passage to the next round.
Allardyce revealed that he will be resting a number of key players ahead of their trip to Fulham before welcoming Newcastle United. Roque Santa Cruz will be unavailable for selection with the striker out with a calf injury.
Blyth will be hoping to spring a major surprise and make it to the fourth round for only the second time in their history. This will be the third time that Blyth made it to the third round.
