Arsenal will look to extend their run of being unbeaten in six Premier League matches when they play Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
The Gunners emerged unscathed from the Christmas fixtures drawing 2-2 against Aston Villa and winning 1-0 over Portsmouth to retain their fifth spot on the league table. However injuries to Cesc Fabregas and the possible departure of William Gallas and Kolo Toure have Wenger worried.
He is reported to be interested in buying Andre Arshavin, but his wage demands may rule out the move.
Bolton Had a forgettable outing towards the end of the year losing 3-0 to Liverpool and 1-0 to Wigan. Manager Gary Megson will still be confident of his side’s survival and has indicated he may bring in a striker in January.
